Overflow pools are typically built around fuel tanks. These soil or physical obstacles will prevent further spread of fuel. In many production and storage facilities, the combustible fuel area consists of small tanks located in an overflow pool. These tanks are usually surrounded by pipes and pumps. In such cases, it is more appropriate to install a fire protection system in the overflow pool instead of tanks.
